INTRODUCTION

OF THE WORLD FORUM FOR PROXIMITY

OF ISLAMIC SCHOOLS OF THOUGHT

 

 

Foreword

 

It is obvious that the proximity between Islamic religions and unity of all the Muslims against their enemies is one of the biggest problems that all the reformers that are part of the world of Islam wish for it.

And every one knows that in this between the potency of heavy duty that is the responsibility of all the leaders of the world of Islam.

And so is the responsibility of the Islamic governments in making fraternity and integration between people with Islamic religions with different propensities. It is necessary to prohibit them from accession of religious prejudice and limitation and in the range of the Muslims expediential tasks.

There is no doubt about it that giving out a pure and neat template of Islam needs the scholars and thinkers of different religions assistance and companionship.

Although we see that some of the thinkers, scholars, professors and leaders had good work in this field.

As wee see we had grate intellectual movements between ulama and the tradition narrators of different religions.

In the first century and the sixth century we see that there ware various meetings and talking about research was more prevalent than other procedures. As wee see, although they had different opinions, they use to meet each other and share their opinions without having any attention to their religions.

Some people think that the main reason of proximity and unity is that they have to leave their religions and every one has a united religion.

Or some of them think that they have to leave their religion and thoughts and come in a new religion and new thoughts.

But the main reason that has made us call Muslims for proximity is that we want to tell the orders of god to all the Muslims and request them to grab the divine rope and make the soul of fraternity and friendship alive and to desist accusation and blasphemy.

In the early days of the present century inter mediators ware found in different parts of the world of Islam like:

Sayyed Jamal Al-Din Asad Abadi known as afghani, Sheikh Mohammad abdeh and also Sheikh Mohammad Hussein Kaashef Al-Qataa, Sheikh Abdul Majid Salim, Sheikh Mahmoud Shaltoot, sheikh Mohammad Taghi Qomi and a lot more of ulama and scholars.

They all knew that they have to be careful to not give field to works that are harmful for Islam.

Sheikh Mohammad Taghi Qomi for validating this aim traveled to different countries, one of those countries was Egypt that we know “Jaame Al-Azhar” is the base of ulama and a place ware the elders of religions come together. He called all the elders to proximity and explained all his thoughts. He called them to unity, some of them answered his call, although they had different religions but the mighty god has given them the providence for this work.

The main result of this powerful think sharing was the institution of an Islamic center in gaherah called “Dar Al-Taghrib Bain Al-Mazahib Al-Islamiah” and publishing a magazine called “Resaalat Al-Islam”.

The first issue of this magazine was published in Rabie Al-Awal year 1368 Hejri Ghamari (1949) and its publication continued till Ramadan 1392 (October 1972).

This magazine had valuable scientific articles and was good for identifying scientific scholars from other religions.

Other books published and edited by this institute, we can name:

“Majma Al-Bayan Le-Oloum Al-Qur'an”, authored by “Sheikh Amin Al-Islam Abi Ali Al-Fazl Bin Al-Hassan Al-Tabaresi” that was one of the elders of ulama and commentators of the sixth century.

Sheikh of “Jaame Al-Azhar” Abdul Majid Salim, in that time introduced the book of Sheikh Amin Al-Islam as follow:

This book is a valuable, precious, fertile, very useful book and don’t think that I am bluffing. This book is one of the main references in commenting the holy Qur’an.

This book has been published in the early second part of the present century, under the supervision of a group of researchers and scholars.

Then Sheikh Mahmoud Shaltoot, the Sheikh of Jaame Al-Azhar of Egypt let out a prescription, that we can recourse to the tradition of Ahlul-Bait (A.S) and in a verdict (fatwa) on 17th Rabie Al-Awal year 1378 Hejri Ghamari he said that:

“Islam has not limited us in imitation of a special religion, actually we say that every Muslim has the choice to select his own commandments of the religion that he thinks is the best and has a better accuracy between other people and their commandments are all in a special book organized for imitation. And every Muslim can get out of one Islamic religion and enter another Islamic religion and there is no problem in it.

The Jafari religion that is known as “shiah Ethna-Ashari” is one of the religions that has no problem for imitation and it is like other “sonna” religions. And it is necessary for Muslims to know that the Islamic law (Shariah) is not particularly for one religion and that it does not concise in just one religion.

All of them are doing their best so that their work will be accepted by the mighty god and all those people that are not a priest and are not clear-sighted in religious matters can imitate from them. And work on the base of their juristic views and at this position there is no difference between transaction and devotion.

This call was like a school of thought that is based on discussion and research and its emphasis and validity is the book of the mighty god (Qur’an) and the tradition (Sonnah) of the holy prophet of Islam Mohammad (P.B.U.H), without noticing that this word is from who of the elders or Islamic centers.

After the victory of the Islamic revolution, the leader of the revolution and scholars and clear-sights and ulama had accentuation on Islamic unity.

Very much work was done in this way until the leader of the Islamic revolution traveled away from between us to a better place.

The establisher of the Islamic revolution, his Excellency Imam Khomeyni always accentuated on this matter.

These comprehensive efforts had success with grate effects and a lot of good results.
